Here’s the result of a Digital Tutors tutorial on exterior rendering. The models were provided and I introduced the (also provided) textures, configured the lighting, colour correction and rendering. I then, following the tutorial, introduced exposure fixes, dirt, aging effects and lens effects such as vingetting and chromatic abberation.
Then I had some fun with it. Posting “Check out my new patio!” to Facebook, I managed to fool at least 2 people. Then I mentioned the house missing a sports car, helicopter and furniture, so I introduced all three, changed the lighting to reflect a later time of day and uploaded it a few hours later. One can dream.
I’ll be producing something similar with some original models soon.
